INTRODUCTION
All 3 and 4 year olds at the nursery school receive the Nursery Education Grant. In 1997 the old nursery voucher system was replaced with the nursery education grant, which is administered through the local authority and claimed by eligible providers of nursery education directly. The current grant level is set at £1,308 per year spread over the three terms. The school will apply for the grant at the start of each term. The school can still claim your grant even if you live in another authority, this is not a problem.
Many parents don’t realise that there is funding available for their child’s nursery education.
Parents qualifying for a free place pay reduced fees - see rates below.
Children qualify for the grant for 2 years, with all 3 and 4 year olds being eligible.
With entry into reception class early in Salford, this means that some of the grant will occur during your child’s reception year, it will depend on when his birthday falls.
At this school the nursery education grant is used to reduce either your nursery or prep school fees as appropriate.
We will give you a form to fill in and return to us at the start of each term. That's it!

The nursery fees charged represent excellent value for money, not perhaps the cheapest and certainly not the most expensive, but we charge fair fees, consistent with maintaining our excellent standards, as well as providing for re-investment in our resources and facilities to ensure that we continue to offer the best local facilities. In addition, we like to try and ease the burden on families where they have more than one child in either the nursery or the school and so we offer a generous family discount of up to 20% on nursery fees. See the discount table below.
All the fees quoted are per week and fees are payable weekly or monthly (standing order) in advance. All places are payable for 50 weeks per year - except the full time term time place. Fees are inclusive of lunches, breakfast, tea and snacks, where appropriate.

There is more help than ever before: Help with up to 70% of fees (on a sliding scale) is also available through the working families tax credit – if you both work at least 16 hours you should be able to claim. Claim forms are available from your local post office - it costs nothing to try - we will help you with any forms where there are sections for us to complete. If your employer wants to help you with childcare, we will accept Nursery Vouchers or can even invoice your employer directly if they prefer. If you are training, re-training or seeking a qualification there may also be help with childcare costs - contact you college or training provider about this.
