© Clarendon Cottage Preparatory School  We do recruit and train a range of nursery workers. We are very enthusiastic about training our own staff because this gives us the opportunity to teach staff to use our methods and to understand our ethos. We therefore always keen to hear from people who feel they have a particular aptitude for working with children and who are enthusiastic and willing to learn. Most of our senior staff have come to us in this way. The two types of worker we recuit most often are modern apprentices and flexi workers. To undertake a modern apprenticeship you will need to be at least 17 years old and hold GCSE passes in Maths and English. This route suits young people and takes a lot of committment but is very rewarding. The flexi worker may be qualified or unqualified but must have experience and show an aptitude. They must also of course be flexible to come in and work at short notice. We do sometimes advertise but if you want to email us your CV and details we will look at this and keep on record if we do not have anything current. The area’s leading educational nursery
